Podcasts have become very popular in recent years, you can listen to them at the gym or on your way to work and there are so many different topics out there from health to politics to literature. If you haven’t given podcasts a try or if you’re simply looking for a new one to try out, here are a few podcasts by women of color that cover various topics.

Brown Girl Self-Care. This podcast discusses wellness and health habits with Bre, the creator, testing products and even giving you ways to boost your confidence and overall outlook.

#SecureTheSeat is dedicated to helping women of color navigate a workforce that is sometimes unwelcoming. Women of color need to know that they should never accept less than they deserve in the workplace, this podcast shows you how to negotiate in your workplace environment.

Invisible Women In Sport is a podcast for those who love physical health and sports. Not only touching the challenges women of color have in organized sports but also providing action steps to overcome them is what makes this podcast unique.

Vitamae is a podcast created by Maybelyn Plecic that covers various topics ranging from publishing to overcoming the challenges of life. Maybelyn is also an active member of the circle.

Friends Like Us is a podcast that uses humor to just talk about the latest news. Featuring a variety of guests from poets to Instagram influencers, Marina Franklin will make you laugh.

Minorities in Publishing. We are a writer’s circle so it only makes sense that we include some literary podcasts as well. Created by Jenn Baker, this podcast discusses the lack of color in the book publishing industry.

Books and Boba was co-founded by Reera Yoo, it is a bookish podcast that highlights books by Asian or Asian-American authors once a month. They also talk about what is going on in the publishing industry as it relates to Asians and Asian-Americans.

Black Chick Lit. This podcast is dedicated to discussing literature by Black women from poetry to novels to film and television adaptations. It’s like having a book club right at your finger tips.
